Process

We’ll follow a simple, three-step process to build an owned media channel that delivers results:

Step One: Curiosity

To start, we’ll identify who you are creating this channel for. We’ll then research your target market by speaking to prospects and customers.

What are their biggest challenges and worst problems? What’s the cost of not addressing these issues? What would their ideal solution look like?

The purpose of this step is to understand your customers’ pain points and create an initial list of insights we’ll use to inform your content.

Step Two: Creation

We’ll work together to create material that genuinely and helpfully addresses the problems your customers shared with you. Whether I’m your writing partner or not, this content should read as though you wrote it, with your own words, expertise, and personality.

As part of this step, we’ll also determine the platform that best suits your needs. Setting up the technical framework allows us to start promoting your material and developing your audience ahead of your formal launch.

The purpose of this step is to build the habit of creating content and gain familiarity with your platform of choice so you can grow and maintain your platform.

Step Three: Connection

In addition to distributing your material with those you interviewed and on your existing platforms, we’ll work together to identify individuals who would benefit from that material, and you’ll give yourself permission to share what you produced with them.

We’ll also look for opportunities to provide additional resources and insight to your audience to demonstrate that you are invested in their success, whether they become a customer or not.

The purpose of this step is to naturally and consistently grow an audience and build relationships, insight from which can then inform future material.
